Website redesign agency that redirects every old URL

A website redesign puts the pages that already rank at risk, so we plan the move from the first week. We design and build the new site on Webflow or in custom code, move your content across and redirect every old URL before launch.

What our website redesign services cover

We rebuild marketing sites on Webflow or in custom code with Astro or Next.js, move sites from WordPress, Wix or Squarespace with a redirect map, and set up the CMS before we hand it over. It suits companies in the Netherlands, Germany and the rest of Europe whose site no longer fits.

Who a website redesign is for

A redesign is worth it when your site no longer matches the company, or when nobody on your team can change a page without calling a developer. If you already rank for search terms that bring in work, the new site has to keep those pages working, so that is where we start.

What you get from a website redesign

We start with the site you have and finish with a handover to your team. In between, you approve a clickable prototype before anything is built, and every old URL has its new address before the site goes live.

URL audit
A list of every page on your current site, with what it ranks for and what it brings in.
Blueprint and prototype
Page structure, a content plan and a clickable prototype that you approve before the build starts.
Design and build
A marketing site on Webflow, or custom code in Astro or Next.js when speed and size matter most.
Migration and redirects
Your content moved from WordPress, Wix or Squarespace, with a redirect map for every old URL.
CMS and handover
A CMS set up for your team and a handover, so you can edit pages yourself.
Titles, schema and sitemaps
Clear page titles, structured data (schema), a sitemap and fast pages, so Google and AI crawlers can read the site.
Language versions
Multilingual, multi-country websites with their own URLs and hreflang for each language.

Websites we redesigned and built

Vergola and Private Label Specialist, our own brand, run on custom code, and Expert Air Services runs on Webflow with a CMS.

For Vergola, which makes garden rooms and patio covers to measure, we built a custom static site on its own design system, with SEO and AEO from the start.

Vergola · Live site

Vergola went from a small WordPress site to a custom site of 52 pages with a catalogue.

How we redesign your website

We start by listing every URL on your current site and what each one brings in. Then we agree the page structure and content plan in a blueprint, and you click through a prototype before we write any code. Before launch the redirect map goes in, and we test every old URL.

  3. Prototype
  4. Build and launch
  5. Automate and improveOngoing

A website redesign usually takes 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the size of the site and how quickly feedback moves.

Do you need a redesign, a rebuild or a refresh?

It depends on what is wrong with the site you have. A refresh changes the look and leaves the structure alone, which can be enough when the pages still work. A redesign changes the structure and the design. A rebuild moves the site to a new platform, and that is the moment URLs change and rankings are most at risk.

We usually advise on this after the audit, once we've listed every page with its traffic and links and seen how your team edits the site today. Two signs point to a rebuild: your team needs a developer for every small change, or the platform can't do what the site has to do.

Vergola is one example of a rebuild: we moved it from a small WordPress site to custom code.

Example: for two searches in a row, a page on yourbrand.com climbs to the top spot in Google and the AI answer names that page as a source.

Will a redesign hurt our Google rankings?

It can, and when it does, it usually happens at launch, because old URLs stop working. To avoid that, we give every old URL a new address in a redirect map before the build starts. At launch we test each redirect, and in the weeks after we check Search Console for errors, where a missed redirect shows up first.

We did this for Birun Print & Sign when its new Shopify store went live on 28 August 2026, with 301 redirects from the old URLs and an English language version next to the Dutch one.

Redirects are only half of it. The new pages also need clear titles, structured data (schema), a sitemap and fast loading, because Google and AI answers both read those. After launch, our SEO and AEO work can pick up where the redesign stops, with SEO (search engine optimisation) for Google and AEO for answers in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

Webflow or custom code, and how we choose

We choose the platform per situation: Webflow for marketing teams that want to edit their own site, Shopify for commerce, and custom code for performance and scale. In practice the choice comes down to two questions: who will edit the site after launch, and what it has to do for your business.

ShopifyYou sell online, in one country or in severalBirun Print & Sign
Custom code (Astro or Next.js)Speed, size or special features matter mostVergola, and Private Label Specialist (our own brand)

If your marketing team publishes often, we'll usually suggest Webflow, so they can change a page without waiting for a developer.

Custom code is the better choice when the site is large or has to do something a site builder can't. Private Label Specialist, our own brand, is one example. Its Astro site has a catalogue of 26 product groups, a search function and a quote basket where business buyers put together a request instead of paying at a checkout.

Who works on your site, and what happens after launch

Our core team of specialists plans, designs and builds your site, and the same people are still there on launch day. You can book strategy only, with an audit and a blueprint, or full delivery from strategy to handover. After launch, a long-term partnership covers updates and a monthly SEO cycle.

A redesign usually takes 6 to 10 weeks. At handover your team gets a CMS set up for the content it changes, so you can keep editing pages without us.

We work in Dutch, English and Turkish, and we build German and French language versions for clients who sell in those countries. Each language gets its own URLs and hreflang tags, which tell Google which version to show to whom. Our page on multilingual websites explains how we set that up.

What a website redesign costs

What it costs depends on the number of pages and templates, how much content we move, the languages and whether the site connects to other systems. Every project gets its own proposal. After a 30-minute intro call, you'll receive a proposal with the scope, timeline and price.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to have a website redesigned?

It depends on how much has to change. The number of pages and templates, the languages, the amount of content we move and any connections with other systems all add work. A redesign on Webflow with a clear structure is usually less work than a custom build with several language versions. Every project gets its own proposal. After a 30-minute intro call, you'll receive a proposal with the scope, timeline and price.

What does a web design agency do?

A web design agency plans, designs and builds websites. With us, that means the page structure and content plan, the design, the build on Webflow or in custom code, moving your old content across and setting up the CMS your team will use. Before we hand the site over, we take care of the things Google and AI answers depend on, such as speed, structured data and redirects.

How much do agencies charge for a website?

Agencies price websites in different ways, per project, per day or as a monthly fee. We work in three forms (strategy only, full delivery from strategy to handover, or a long-term partnership), and the price follows from the scope, so we don't publish fixed rates. Every project gets its own proposal. After a 30-minute intro call, you'll receive a proposal with the scope, timeline and price.

Is web design still worth it in 2026?

Yes, if the site does real work for you. Buyers still look at your website before they contact you, and Google and AI answers draw on what your pages say. A site that loads quickly, explains plainly what you do and carries structured data gives both of them something to work with. A site your team can't update tends to go out of date, and that shows in both places.

How can I redesign my existing website?

Start by listing every URL on your current site and noting which pages rank or bring in requests. Decide what stays, what merges and what goes, then plan the new structure and test it in a prototype. Move the content, set up a redirect map from each old URL to its new address and test it before launch. In the first weeks after launch, check Search Console for errors.

What is the best way to redesign a website?

Start from what already works. Keep the pages and URLs that rank, write the content before the design and approve a prototype before anything gets built. Pick the platform by who will edit the site, with Webflow if your marketing team wants to do it and custom code for performance and scale. Then test a redirect from every old URL before the switch, not after it.

How long does a website redesign take?

A website redesign usually takes 6 to 10 weeks. A marketing site with a clear structure sits at the short end, while a site with many pages, several languages or a lot of content to move takes longer. How quickly feedback comes back matters as much as the size. If you want the strategy first, an audit and a blueprint can be booked on their own.

Can our team edit the new site ourselves?

Yes. We set up the CMS for your team and hand the site over, so you can edit pages without us. If your marketing team wants to publish often, Webflow is usually the better choice, because pages can be changed in a visual editor while the design stays as we built it.
